An imprint is a mark that shows where we have been and where we are going. If they are big enough, through rain or shine, they will remain.
To be or not to be is a question we should all ask ourselves. What does that mean exactly? To show the world you are alive or not. The world is a big place, so we better plan on putting down big footprints if we want it to notice us.
Whatever your dream is, make it big. Big enough for you and big enough for the world to see. Will you mess up? Absolutely! Will you learn? Affirmative! Will you give up? I certainly hope not. There are to many people who have given up right before they’ve made their imprint. Why? Three quarters of the time it’s because they’ve lost their drive for what it was they sought. When we have a dream, we have to keep fine tuning and sharpening it or it will become dull. Like anything else in life, if you’re not improving you are deteriorating or failing.
I for one do not want to be an old broken down building that people are planning to tear down making room for a newer model. I want to be that timeless beauty, work of art, well and established building that people look at and want to come take a look at, one that inspires, one that has made an impression.
Defy the odds of mediocrity and plant a building on well established ground. Don’t give into laziness or be defeated. Do not allow others to tear you down or make you feel small. Do not hide in a shell because you are scared. You will succeed and be great if and because you believe in what you are doing. Make a mark on this world and don’t give in to excuses. “Tell the world what you intend to do but first show it!” -Napoleon Hill.
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go do that. Because what the world needs are people who have come alive.” -Harold Whitman.
Be an inspiration, start a business, be the best mom or dad in the world, write a book, a song, raise a great leader. The world is big enough for all of our dreams, goals and aspirations, so make your imprint. Our mind is our only stopper, so keep telling it you are worth it and you will achieve greatness.
Amen!
